DeelioZ Loyalty Rewards Program App

DeelioZ came to my team with a half-built app from a developer that couldn’t deliver, asking us to fix and improve it.

DeelioZ was a loyalty rewards program app, similar to apps like Belly and Groupon, where app users could check in at their favorite businesses that they frequent to collect reward points. Businesses would pay to be a part of the program, and they would create offers and rewards that users could take advantage of once they accumulated enough points. DeelioZ came to my team with a half-built app from a developer that couldn’t deliver, asking us to fix and improve it.

DeelioZ concept and model was solid. It turned out that they just needed their app to look and run better than what had been delivered. My team and I took a look at the app’s code to see what the previous developer had done right, and what was done wrong. I also examined the user experience to see what pain points existed, and determined which ones could be improved and which ones needed to be removed. The end result was above and beyond the client’s expectations. We also designed and built a content management system (CMS) and brochure website for the program.

In the end, the DeelioZ program never got launched, because the client decided to change their business model. However, we still created a prototype/proof-of-concept of the app, and had completed a working CMS and website. Just because it never got released doesn’t make it any less of a portfolio piece that I’m proud of.
