Church of God in Christ (COGIC) AIM Convention

In 2013, AIM contacted my former employer to see if we could build them an event app. We came up with an app for both phones and tablets, that had features like a speaker list with bios, an itinerary, push notifications, an event map, a place to showcase sponsors, information about AIM, and even a prayer wall.

The Auxiliaries in Ministry (AIM) Convention, is the annual summer convention of the Church of God In Christ, Inc. (COGIC), which is geared toward spiritual enrichment, training, education and fellowship. The goal of AIM is to achieve effectiveness in ministry. The AIM Convention, a family involvement experience, brings together five auxiliaries of the Church of God in Christ: Music and Youth, Missions and Evangelism and Sunday School, as they share three conventions in one setting.

I was responsible for coming up with the design and layout, fleshing out the UX/UI elements, creating wireframes, packaging assets for a development team, and producing promotional images for app stores and other media outlets. The app was so well-received that my former employer used the AIM app as a prototype for Twelve, a web-based mobile app building platform for churches. The first iterations of Twelve apps were based on this AIM app.
