Hot 97 was trying to increase listenership for their morning show, so they wanted an alarm clock app that would feature sound bites from the different members of their morning show as an alarm sound to wake up listeners. [/one_half] [one_half_last] The promotion would prompt users to tap their phones on various billboards appearing on the streets, subways, transit stops, and other locations in the New York City metro, which would download the app to the user’s phone via near-frequency communications (NFC) technology. The product we delivered not only gave them their alarm clock feature, but also show and host bios, one-touch studio calling and directions, live streaming radio, connections to the station’s social media channels, and more. Hot 97 was so pleased that their parent company (Emmis Communications) wanted to use a clone version of the app for several of their other stations. [/one_half_last]
