The American Cancer Society’s Cattle Baron’s Ball needed a new theme and a face lift for their annual gala. My work in this project won a gold Addy Award.

The American Cancer Society’s Cattle Baron’s Ball is one of their biggest fundraisers for the year. The gala raises funds to help send children with cancer and their families to R.O.C.K. Camp (Reaching Out to Cancer Kids), giving them the experience of a summer camp that also has the doctors and nurses that they need on staff. This gives the kids and their families a chance to enjoy their summer outside of a hospital.

The American Cancer Society of Central Florida needed a new theme and a face lift for their annual Cattle Baron’s Ball fundraiser gala. My employer put me in charge of the project. Their theme was Southwestern, so I came up with a new logo and branding to reflect it. I was also responsible for coming up with ALL of the print collateral for the event, which included save-the-dates, invites, reply cards, programs, banners, posters, print ads, and more. I also helped create Facebook fan gate pages and other elements for their social media campaign.

The end result was one of their best attended galas in years, raising nearly $100,000 in funds to help send children with cancer to camp and fight cancer overall. In the end, my work with the American Cancer Society won me a gold Addy Award.
